I am going to tell you about Jr.'s request last night, but first I must give you some background information. We are a family of five. Unlike when I was growing up, we do not require our kids to eat what is served or go hungry. In fact, we try to let them help decide what is for dinner. This is an extremely difficult negotiation. I don't believe the G8 Summits have less negotiations. Jr only wants McDonald's cheeseburgers or Chic fil A nuggets, Lu only wants hot dogs from Checkers or Ham and Cheese from Subway, and DP likes Taco Bell, McDonald's, Subway, and a few others. He is actually a good eater. SuperMom adds to the issue by having a limited list of edible foods. You may have noticed nothing was mentioned about eating at home. It gets harder at home with no one liking the same thing. To keep me out of financial ruins, SuperMom tries to cook at home periodically. Usually, Monday is a good day for this. The kids go to gymnastics and I pick them up on the way home from work, so she has some free time to put together a meal. Jr. has noticed this trend too. So yesterday on the way to gymnastics, he pipes up "Mom tonight can we eat pick up food?" He never wants to eat non-picked up food. Oh well his phrasing made SuperMom laugh, but we still had home cooked food. SuperMom made chili, which none of the kids ate and I made them grilled cheese. I can't wait until we discuss our limited options for tonight. At least we are preparing the kids for a life in politics if they desire.
