So, if you are not familiar with Spock, he was the logical one on Star Trek. One of his most famous lines is "Once you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains no matter how improbable, must be the truth." It is this logic that I must expand on in reference to one of my recent experiences. I was traveling for the last few days and during this time, Lowe's found a set of blinds that I ordered that was missing for a few days and which took several calls to locate. Yesterday, I was finally able to pick it up. I arrived at the Customer Service desk and told them who I was and why I was there. The lady states, there is no blind order on my account, just an order for a hammock. Now I state I didn't order a hammock, but let's get the blinds issue resolved first. After 20 minutes they found the blinds and explained that the blinds were under my company's name (why I don't know), yada yada, yada. Now back to this hammock. The conversation starts with me asking questions to try and find out who/how/when, a hammock was ordered in my name.
I ordered it via the internet on Friday the 26th at 1:36 pm they tell me. Well this isn't possible. I was speeding through Georgia on Friday at 1:36 and am not able to multitask enough to drive and order a hammock on the Lowe's website. Talk about texting and driving, how about shopping and driving. So immediately, the first person that pops in mind is SuperMom. So I go to the car, get my phone and call her. "Did you order a hammock on line from Lowe's?" "No, I was looking at them, but didn't order one", was here reply. "Are you sure you didn't order one?", I asked. "I don't think I did. When was it ordered?", she stated. I said, "you would have had to order it while we were in the car driving". She stated it wasn't her. Now I am still waiting on them to bring up the blinds and the cashier asks me about the hammock. She can't tell me what credit card was used, but showed me a picture. She states that it is in the store and they are bringing it up. I said ok. She asked "are you taking the hammock?" I replied. "but of course apparently I have already paid for it." She thought this was funny.
Back to Spock. So I had ruled out that I bought it and that SuperMom bought it. Now SuperMom apparently was trying to call me during the time I was traveling around picking up Lu, for she had applied her Vulcan logic and deduced it was from our recent house guests. I was thinking it might be from the head of the Reaper Crew, but I was wrong. Any way, a big thanks goes out to them. FYI, you will see a slight refund applied to your credit card because of my military discount. And as you can see below, the crew put me to work assembling it.
