A couple of weeks ago, the family visited my sister-in-law for Mother's Day. It is a couple hours drive for us, so when we arrive the kids are quick to get out of the car. SuperMom's sister has a few animals, but one they have had for some time now. It is a chocolate lab named Argo. It is a pretty good dog that seems to play very well with kids. So we arrive, and the dog comes up to the car as always. Immediately, Jr jumps out of the car and says "Hey Carlos!". I am not sure why that was so funny to me. But a dog named Carlos is hilarious. So for the rest of the day, we called this poor dog Carlos followed by a laugh. Carlos the dog.
In our new house, the kids' rooms are upstairs. They each have a TV in their room and enjoy watching 30 minutes of TV before going to bed. It is also the only time that SuperMom and I are able to get a few things done prior to relaxing. They watch all types of shows. Lu likes nature shows; Jr likes trains and construction equipment shows; DP watches old sitcoms. One such sitcom he likes is Full House. It took me a while to explain to him the baby on the show was actually twin twenty plus year old ladies. That is beside the humorous aspect of him watching Full House.
The other day, SuperMom walked in while he was watching Full House, except a commercial was on. SuperMom asked him what he was watching, to which he replied "Full House". "Oh", was her reply. DP followed with "right now is a commercial showing how much blue water these paper towels can hold." "I am not sure why". "And they can hold a lot". In case you are unaware of the commercial, it is a maxi-pad commercial. Needless to say SuperMom just replied "oh" again and walked out. |
