So if you didn't read yesterday's post, go read it before you read today's. Apparently, Santa Claus isn't the only one getting old and forgetful. As you remember, yesterday I went on about how DP told SuperMom that Santa Claus has a bad memory because he keeps asking him what he wants for Christmas. I went on to explain how this isn't that shocking to me because DP is logical and always tries to figure things out, etc etc. I even called on my nerdy side and used a Star Trek reference. Man, I really liked that show.
Apparently, it was Jr. that told SuperMom this and not DP. Now my whole world is chaos. Chaos as a scientific term means behavior so unpredictable as to appear random. This is my life now with Jr. making these comments. See, Jr. is bright, very bright, however he only seems to care about trucks, trains, and construction equipment. Ask him to name three types of garbage trucks and he nails it. Ask him to write his name, and he acts like you asked him to do calculus. I am unable to understand Jr making this comment about Santa being forgetful. I have no doubt that he is smart enough to realize that Santa asked him the same question three times. I just never would have figured that he would have cared. DP corrects you if you say it is 12:30 when it is only 12:29. He cares about that accuracy. Jr. doesn't.
Anyway back to the old physicist. I totally forgot or never realized that SuperMom told me that it was Jr talking about Santa, thus I am either getting forgetful or making assumptions about input data. Neither of which would have happened when I was younger. My other hypothesis is that my experiment into fatherhood is making me crazy. I have started collecting data to determine which, but primary results suggest a loony bin is in my future.
